Hurricane Harvey hit people and their pets hard. Over the next few days, and weeks, we will be sending hundreds, if not thousands, of harness & leashes set to Shelters and Rescues in Texas to support their relief efforts.
As you know, many people and their pets were separated during this still on-going crisis. Some Shelters were flooded and evacuated, and still others are now way over capacity. Beings of all kinds are suffering.
So this is our way of helping out during these hard times. We plan on staying with this effort over the long haul - as it might get worse over the next few weeks and months.
The harness & leash sets are being sent to local Texas shelters and then distributed to dogs and families in need. These are all Shelters that we have contacted and they have said YES to our offer - they need the supplies. The list
In response to Customers asking if they can also help with our Harvey Dog outreach effort, we have come up with this simple program: We will send a Harvey Dog harness & leash set “in your name” for just $15.
Your $15 will help defray the cost of the product, shipping, handling, administration, etc for this outreach effort. Please note:
- the harness & leash sets are being shipped directly to the rescues, you don't have to do anything else.
- Walk Your Dog With Love is not a non-profit organization so your gift is not tax deductible.
- We don’t get a write off for this gift either. We are all simply helping dogs in need.
Many shelters said they have enough supplies for the moment, yet need money to maintain these levels. A list of shelters in need is below, and you can contribute to them directly.
