DOG FRIENDLY ENGINEERING, ATTENTION TO DETAIL, AND THE HIGHEST QUALITY MATERIAL & HARDWARE
All of our products are ‘over-engineered’ for durability. We use 20 stitches per inch where other companies use eight. We use Reinforced Box X Plus tacking stitch pattern where other companies use a single line of stitching. We use three strand nylon Tex 70 thread industrial thread where other companies use single strand. Our most basic harness is made of flexible & lightweight 1200 pound test polypropylene where other companies use rigid and heavy 280 pound cotton. Our Strongest harnesses are 3800 and 5700 pound test.
The heart of each harness is durable synthetic webbing (Polypropylene, Nylon or Polyester):
The pull-points are all double reinforced: They are sewn with a Tex 70 triple twisted nylon thread (not sinlge strand polyester filament) for the strength to stand up to a pulling dog, and with a high stitch-per-inch count for added resilience and durability.
To protect the dog's skin and eliminate chaffing and rubbing, the harness is engineered so all the finished ends face away from the dog. Additionally, the sewn tack points are covered with soft reflective material for even more comfort.
The leash attachment is a heavy-weight nickel plated steel ring, 50% thicker than lightweight rings, and welded for increased strength.
For extra security the buckles are Acetyl plastic, a durable and very stable material versus nylon plastic buckles, which are prone to cracking and breaking because they are sensitive to both moisture and temperature variations.
For extra safety, 3M Scotchlite reflective material is fastened to key points on the front and both sides of the harness to increase your dog's visibility in the dark, and especially dawn and dusk, when many of us walk our dogs. 3M Scotchlite is visible in a car's headlights up to 1000 feet away.
